Fabric Ladder (2023)

This custom piece was made as a centerpiece for Preethi’s living room. She had a towel ladder that was broken and a clothing donation pile so using the ladder as a frame I turned the clothing into strips and wove them around the ladder. We needed gold tones for the room so we stopped by a local thrift shop to source fabric as well.

I always strive to make art out of existing materials, I love transforming materials into new forms and changing how we see and relate to them.
